Druckenmiller’s Puts Over $80 Million Behind Digital Assets Stock Picks

Stanley Druckenmiller, the legendary investor behind Duquesne Family Office, is warming up to the digital assets industry.

According to the 13F Form filed in August 2026 corresponding to the investment firm’s Q2 holdings, Duquesne reported a sizable position in Bitdeer Technologies Group (BTDR), a global high-performance computing company that manufactures cryptocurrency mining hardware and operates data centers in the U.S. and internationally.

Druckenmiller built this position in Q2, incorporating 4.1 million shares valued at over $64.7 million at an average purchase price of $12.26. Bitdeer became one of the largest holdings in the billionaire’s AI/digital assets portfolio.

The company recently released its Q2 financial results, with quarter-over-quarter net and gross loss percentages decreasing. Furthermore, Bitdeer recently closed a 16-year, $4.7B AI deal for 121MW at Norway’s Tydal campus, and has broken ground in Nevada on a plant to produce 10,000 Sealminer units monthly by next year.

Druckenmiller’s move coincides with those of Jane Street and Ken Griffin’s Citadel, which also increased their BTDR holdings considerably, with the former now holding over $112 million worth of shares acquired almost fully in Q2.

In addition, Druckenmiller also invested in the Hyperliquid ecosystem indirectly, purchasing 2.9 million shares of Hyperliquid Strategies (PURR) valued at $23.1 million.

Hyperliquid Strategies is the largest HYPE-focused digital asset treasury company aiming to “provide capital-efficient and productive access to the HYPE token for U.S. and institutional investors, generating compounding shareholder returns that individual holders may not be able to replicate through staking, yield optimization, and active ecosystem engagement.”

HYPE, the token of Hyperliquid, a decentralized exchange that hosts all kinds of assets and commodities, recently rose to record highs after President Donald Trump revealed that Commodity Futures Trading Commission (CFTC) Chairman Michael Selig was “working to bring Hyperliquid into the United States in a fully compliant and legal fashion.”

Consequently, PURR also rallied over 20% on the news, benefitting other PURR investors, including BlackRock, State Street, and Citadel, which also increased their PURR holdings in Q2, according to hedge fund tracker Hedgefollow.
